About Me

I’m Ailsa Gillies;

A 23 year old Scottish freelance journalist, content creator, former columnist for national music and entertainments magazine ‘The Weekender’ with a wide range of experience in Public Relations and Media.

With publications in BBC Scotland’s The Social, The Alloa Advertiser, Isle of Bute News, That Fangirl Life and The Weekender, I’m versatile in various styles of writing and media creation. You can view more of my writing here and my media and PR work here.

I graduated from the University of Stirling in June 2021 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Film, Media and Journalism.

My love for academia, combined with the ambition to refine and diverse my skills as a journalist, led me onto completing my Master of Science Degree in International Journalism in September 2022.
